Congratulations!
30 years of KTK – a story of ups and downs
Uwe Münch
managing director
„In September 2012, company founder Bernhard Kink passed away, which was a seismic event. A little later, I joined the company as the new managing director. From day one, I could see in the employees’ dedication and commitment how much they all wanted to support the company and help KTK’s success story to continue.
My main task in the first phase of my new role was to reassure our customers, employees, partners and suppliers that the company would survive and to build confidence in KTK.
Since then, step by step, we have continued to develop, extended our product range and capacities, optimised processes, increased the freedom our customer advisers have to make decisions and tried to align ourselves with the changing needs of our customers.
After 30 years of KTK, we are proud of what we have achieved and are at the same time motivated to go further and together find perfect solutions in the future.
The long-term objective I set out when I began is, more than 10 years later, more relevant than ever today: We want to make our customers happy by offering a personal service and top quality with satisfied employees in a partnership built on respect.
My heartfelt thanks go to everyone working towards this goal every day!“

„I am delighted about KTK’s positive development and hope the company continues to enjoy success. For me, it is an impressive legacy to my father, Bernhard Kink, and goes to show what is possible when you believe in yourself and work hard.
KTK was everything to my father – he could never switch off, and was there from morning until night.
I am unbelievably proud of what he created. He showed me that with willpower, staying power and passion you can achieve great things in life – even without an advanced school-leaving certificate or academic education.
To close, I would like to sincerely thank our managing director Mr. Münch. Especially in difficult times, such as during the Corona pandemic, you have not just kept KTK afloat, you have driven the company forward. I have great respect for that, and am truly grateful to you.“

„We would like to warmly congratulate KTK Kunststofftechnik GmbH on their 30-year anniversary, and would like to take this opportunity to look back and thank everyone who has made this success story possible in the past, and those who continue to do so every day.
The success story started with the foundation of KTK in 1995. That was when Bernhard Kink, with great courage and determination, set out on his own in a small basement workshop. His expertise in the field of plastics trade and processing, and his tireless dedication to the young company, laid the foundations that have enabled KTK to grow into a successful medium-sized business.
Following Mr. Kink’s sudden and untimely death in 2012, Uwe Münch took the reins in a situation that wasn’t easy. However, together with a team of long-standing and committed employees, he has done an excellent job of strengthening and develop the company to this day. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and respect to the employees and company management for this.
We know that you have also been through some difficult times. This is precisely why we are convinced that KTK will successfully master the challenges of the coming years, and we look forward to our shared future.“

"Dear Mr. Münch …
Franz Lübbers
CEO Röchling Industrial
„… I am very grateful for the opportunity, after 30 years of intensive, highly successful cooperation, to extend my thanks to you and the entire KTK team! We at Röchling feel very honoured!
The success of KTK, founded in 1995 by Mr. Bernhard Kink, is very closely linked to the plastics division at Röchling. Back then, our cooperation meant reacting quickly, flexibly and with a customer focus. I remember well how this led to some moaning and groaning in the workforce due to the high workload. But visible success showed that we were forging the right path.
Thirty years ago, the market in and around Munich was dominated by two large traders with long-term supplier relationships. And KTK had the same aim as Röchling: We wanted to supply our plastics products to the market based on the adage that the customer is always right. Back then, we were two young, ambitious managers who respected one another immediately and had exactly the same goals.
Bernhard Kink gave everything for the customer. And he expected his partners to do the same. His spirit was infectious, success came quickly and, as we all know, success makes you hungry for more!
KTK has and will always have a particular importance at Röchling. We look with the greatest respect upon the excellent development of KTK as a company, and every day our motivated employees try to play their part in ensuring that this success story continues. We are proud to call KTK our premium partner.
Keep doing what you do, and stay as innovative and full of curiosity as you have been in the past! Then, I’m sure your success will continue. Corporate success, motivated employees and appreciative customers will undoubtedly remain the cornerstones in the future – along with strong suppliers like Röchling, who are pleased to stand by your side!“
